Very urgent news for those invested in the Jolie-Pitt family: Angelina Jolie’s son, Knox, just made a rare public appearance! He joined his talented mother at the 15th annual Governors Awards on November 17, and if you have no idea what the fuck that is, you’re not alone. Apparently, it’s a non-televised, fancy dinner gala celebrating awards given out by the Academy’s Board of Governors (whatever that is). The Hollywood insider event is hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and took place at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles. This event marked Angelina and Knox’s first joint red carpet appearance in three years, and the teenager looks like a young man now. I’m not crying, you’re crying. Angelina Jolie And Knox At The Governors Awards
Angelina stunned in a long yellow dress for the occasion, and Knox looked adorable in a black tuxedo. How is it possible that he’s 16 already?? He looks so grown up here. I’m feeling a bit elderly. The mother and son duo stood arm in arm and posed for photos together on the red carpet. While Angelina’s been out and about a lot recently, promoting her highly anticipated musical drama movie, Maria, Knox’s last public appearance was back in October 2021 at the London premiere of his mother’s Marvel film, Eternals. Angelina mostly keeps her kids’ lives private.
The Girl, Interrupted star and her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, share six children: Knox, Vivienne, Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, and Pax. Knox and Vivienne are twins and their faces are pretty identical… (Check out this photo of Vivienne from June 2024!)
During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Angelina shared that motherhood is her main priority. “I am not an artist first, I’m a mom,” she explained. “I’m trying to understand what is happening within our world, why so many things are the way they are. I’m trying to understand how to best be a guide for my children, to make sure that they are good people.” Angelina added, “I don’t often feel like I’m doing enough.” Queen, I think you’re doing amazing <3.
You can catch Angelina’s upcoming movie, Maria, in select U.S. theaters on November 27, or it will be available to stream on Netflix starting on December 11. I wonder if her kids are gonna follow in their parents’ footsteps and enter the entertainment biz soon… we shall see.
