Everything To Know About Taylor Frankie Paul's Kids & Baby Daddies Ahead Of 'The Bachelorette'

There’s a Bachelor Nation x Secret Lives of Mormon Wives crossover in our future because Taylor Frankie Paul is the next bachelorette. Yup, the reality star who skyrocketed to fame via #MomTok and “soft swinging” is about to be handing out roses to (likely insufferable) men. And she’ll make history in the process! She’s the first bachelorette who’s brand new to the franchise.

Taylor made the surprising announcement on the September 10 episode of Call Her Daddy, opening up about the casting process and her current dating life. With kids, multiple baby daddies, and a super popular reality show, her personal life is already pretty complicated. I’m very curious to see how she navigates The Bachelorette.

For those of you doing your homework to prepare for the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, here’s what to know about Taylor Frankie Paul’s kids, baby daddies, and parents.

Taylor has three children: Indy, Ocean, and Ever. (I admire the classic celeb baby names.) She posts them on social media sometimes, but they don’t really appear on the show.

After the Secret Lives star was arrested on misdemeanor charges of assault, criminal mischief and commission of domestic violence in 2023, she went on the The Viall Files and opened up about making mistakes and growing as a mother. “I want to [be better] for my kids and I feel like right now, that’s my top priority,” she said on the pod. “All I want is them to be happy.”

“When you’re in a really low place… I was fine with my ex taking them,” she admitted at the time. “I felt like I couldn’t be a good mom, so I was okay with them being gone a lot. Now, I hate when they’re gone. I’ll take them any chance I get.” Taylor attributed that difference to “healing.”

Taylor shares her two older children, Indy and Ocean, with her ex-husband, Tate Paul, and her youngest son, Ever, with her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.

She and Tate welcomed Indy in 2016 and Ocean in 2020. They get a divorce in 2022 after Taylor had an “emotional affair” during the whole ~soft swinging~ era. (If you missed it, there was a very scandalous couples swapping partners situation in Taylor’s Mormon friend group a few years ago, hence the reality show.)

These days, Taylor and Tate seem to have a healthy co-parenting relationship. “We’re great,” she said on The Viall Files. “We go to soccer games every week together and we talk daily. I mean you kind of have to do co-parenting. You don’t have to be friends, but we are.”

Following her divorce, Taylor started dating Dakota Mortensen, and we learn all about their super rocky relationship on the show. They welcomed their son, Ever, in March 2024.

During her recent Call Her Daddy appearance, Taylor clarified that she and Dakota are now done “for good.” She reflected, “I did wanna end up with him. That wasn’t a secret to anybody. I’ll always admit that.” Apparently, we’ll see their split play out when season 3 of Secret Lives airs in November.

Taylor Frankie Paul’s Parents

Taylor was raised by her mom, Liann May, and stepdad, Jeremy May. (They also star in Secret Lives.) Her biological father isn’t a part of her life. “I think my trust issues stem from my biological father leaving me at a young age,” Taylor said on the show.

“I had a stepdad growing up, but I always called him dad, because he adopted me at two, and he’s been the father throughout my life, so he’s my dad,” she explained in a different episode.
