After a year of every pop girl in existence (except Olivia Rodrigo) releasing a new album, the long-awaited “blood bath” 2025 Grammys are finally upon us. Needless to say, I’m stressed as hell. Tonight is all about Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, and Doechii. Herstory shall be made! There’s no doubt about that. (But also, shoutout to Benson Boone for carrying male pop on his back while Harry Styles continues his music hiatus and Shawn Mendes galavants around Machu Picchu with his new GF.) I truly can’t remember a more competitive Grammys.

While the Grammys are of course music’s biggest night, the award show is also a major evening for fashion. Chappell, Charli, Sabrina, and Doechii’s red carpet fits have me gagged, as expected. But others *cough Jaden Smith* are, uh, leaving more to be desired. As celebs arrived and posed on the red carpet, I obviously got to work judging all of their looks: Here are the best and worst dressed celebs at the 2025 Grammys.

FUCK. YES. DIVA. My queen wins the night with this iconic yellow, ballerina-decorated gown, elegant blue gloves, and signature drag glam. Everyone, please follow her example.

Worst — Kacey Musgraves

Kacey, I love you, but I can’t condone this remarkably plain white tank top OR this remarkably chaotic skirt.

Best – Sabrina Carpenter

This goddess said: “Iiii feel so much lighter like a feather with you off my mind!” The hair, the feathers, matching her eyes to her dress? What more could we ever possibly want from this reliable fashionista?

Worst – Billie Eilish

Okay, I’m only giving this a worst because it’s just so very expected. She’s sticking with the brand, I get it… but it’s *whispers* boring.

Best — Charli XCX

She’s brat and she’s fabulous. Precisely the slay I expected from this icon. THIS, folks, is how you do a motherfucking train.

Worst — Benson Boone

This diva. I can appreciate the slight effort to give slutty, but the overall vibe is too baggy and too boring for moi. Sorry, Benson girlies.

Best — Doechii

Adorable, flattering, on-brand, cool, different, unique! No notes! If she doesn’t win a Grammy tonight, The Recording Academy will be hearing from me.

Worst — Olivia Rodrigo

Queen, you’re everything and more to me. And you look stunning as usual. But I feel like we can dream bigger than a standard, cut-out black dress.

Best — Willow Smith

Oh, she’s eating up this sexy two-piece and black trench coat. And I need that lip combo ASAP.

Worst — Jaden Smith

I can’t say the same for Willow’s brother, I fear. Respectfully… WTF is going on here? Why is there a castle on his head? Maybe I’m missing something.

Best — Raye

She is serving expensive old glamor with this super flattering and shiny black gown! The sash and jewels? Perfection.

Worst — Noah Kahan

I honestly do not think he would disagree or even be offended. The man is known for his guitar tunes about crippling depression, not his ~iconic~ award show looks. The tan suit is… fine.

Best — Cardi B

I realize this shouldn’t work, but it’s so bold and so her, that I just love it. Why not combine shiny gold and feathers if you’re Cardi B?

Worst — Kelsea Ballerini

She looks gorge and I love this little black dress, but the sleeves and train situation is kinda giving crumpled bedsheet.

Best — Kehlani

Obsessed! This is the perfect combo of elegant, edgy, and classic but daring. A+ for this queen.

Worst – Taylor Swift

Sure, there are elements of this look that work (her makeup looks fab), but… it’s not giving ~most powerful woman in music on the planet~ or the level of glamor required by the Grammys.
