Uhhh, Apparently Blake Lively Made A Reporter Wanna Quit Her Job After This Brutal Interview

Blake Lively’s bestie once said, “It’s me! Hi! I’m the problem. It’s me,” and I dare say the It Ends With Us actress should take this lyric to heart after this latest development in her current PR disaster. After Blake received criticism for promoting her new film as a fun rom-com and failing to center the heaviness of domestic violence (which is the main subject matter), people started re-watching some of her past cringe interviews. Believe it or not, Blake’s insensitive It Ends With Us promo tour isn’t actually her worst press moment. On August 10, Norwegian reporter Kjersti Flaa shared a 2016 interview with Blake and Parker Posey and titled the YouTube video, “The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job.” The clip is, um, insane, so it’s going viral. “Sitting down with Blake Lively and her co-star Parker Posey for Café Society (2016) is the most uncomfortable interview situation I have ever experienced,” Kjersti wrote in her YouTube caption. Yeah, I think literally just watching this video is one of the more uncomfy things I’ve experienced, so I get where she’s coming from.

Watch the unfortunate video and check out the highlights (lowlights?) below to see why Kjersti Flaa wanted to quit her job after interviewing Blake Lively.

Kjersti Flaa’s “Nightmare” Interview With Blake Lively

Why Reporter Kjersti Flaa Wanted To Quit Her Job After Interviewing Blake Lively

Since Blake had recently shared that she was pregnant with her second baby, Kjersti opened the interview by congratulating Blake on her “little bump” — a normal, nice thing to do. But Blake was really pissed off for some reason. She responded with a sarcastic, “Congrats on your little bump.” Needless to say, Kjersti was not pregnant at the time. Blake, girl, is that not… fat-shaming?

The worst part about this moment is that apparently, Kjersti is infertile, so pregnancy is a sensitive subject for her. “It hurts because I obviously wasn’t pregnant and I could never get pregnant,” she shared with The Daily Mail on August 16. “So to me that comment was like a bullet.” The reporter added, “It was such a traumatizing experience to me. I was there to do a job, and they made sure to make it as difficult as possible for me to do that.” Ugh, I really feel for her.

That was obviously an extremely rough start, and Blake continued to make the interview awkward after that. Kjersti attempted to keep her cool and complimented Blake and Parker’s film, calling it “visually amazing.” She asked, “Did you guys love wearing those kinds of clothes?” Again, a pretty standard and reasonable question, especially considering the wardrobe for Café Society was gorgeous. Blake immediately turned to look at Parker and jabbed, “Everyone wants to talk about the clothes, but I wonder if they would ask the men about the clothes.” You can see Kjersti’s face fall. She says, “I would.” Blake and Parker ignored her and had their own little chat, gushing about the men’s clothes. A strange choice indeed.

It really is not the best week for Blake’s PR team.
