Going to the gym is hard enough, and being ill prepared only makes it that much harder. There’s nothing worse than booking an overpriced gym class to arrive and find that you forgot your sneakers or sports bra. Scratch that, maybe the worst thing is finally getting the motivation to go to the gym and work out yourself, without the aide of some overly peppy fitness model to motivate you, only to realize you forgot your water bottle and headphones. It’s like, do I go home and get my stuff? No, because then I know I’ll sit on the couch and fall into a Netflix blackhole. But how do you push yourself through a workout with no water or music?? It’s an impossible dilemma, and one that should be avoided at all costs. So to help prevent you from forgetting your sh*t and thus either missing your workout, half-assing it, or being forced to buy one of your boutique fitness studio’s overpriced sports bras, we’ve rounded up the most functional but not bulky gym bags to keep you organized. You can thank us later.
1. Caraa Cirrus Backpack
As the only backpack on our list, this Caraa bag can fit way more than meets the eye. The waterproof backpack itself is lightweight AF, which is great considering you’re going to be attempting to stuff as much as possible in it. With a ton of interior and exterior pockets, including built-in phone and battery pockets for our constantly dying devices, there’s a place for every sweaty unmentionable you’d need for the gym. The best part is that the inside is red, providing a contrast to your all black items, allowing you to actually find your stuff while digging through your bag.
2. ADIDAS Studio III
If it has Adidas’ stamp of approval, it already has ours. But this duffel bag’s shape is why it made it onto our list. The wide opening at the top makes it easy to stuff your spin shoes alongside your gym clothes. Various smaller pockets within the main compartment help to keep your items organized and easily accessible. The ventilated exterior pockets are the perfect place for your clothes post gym class in case you’re heading out to drinks afterwards.
3. Sol and Selene Women’s Dream Big Tote Gym
If you’re looking to add a bit of color (yes, I consider gray a color) against your all-black workout wardrobe, this bag will be your go-to. With a cross body strap in addition to a handle, you’ll be able to pack this bag to the fullest without feeling like it’s tugging on your back.
4. MZ Wallace Large Sutton Bag
With six interior pockets and three detachable pouches, this camo bag can stretch to fit your sneakers, workout clothes, water bottle, and whatever else you could need to increase your chances of actually making it to the gym. It’s foldable, rollable, packable, and crushable—making it the ideal bag to schlep around all day long. Plus, the pattern is far from your basic gym bag without screaming redneck.
5. Go! Sac The Sport Tote Bag
Yoga lovers, rejoice! This bag has one of the least intrusive yoga mat holders we’ve yet to see. No longer will you be unintentionally jousting with passersby on the street. Your yoga mat will be tucked beneath the bag in a secure pocket so it won’t fall out while you walk.

As much as Christian bloggers wish otherwise, leggings are here to stay. They’re comfy, fashionable, and they make our asses look great (/existent), what’s not to love? But there’s nothing more embarrassing than rolling up to brunch in the same leggings you worked out in… and slept in… and wore to work the day before. I mean, okay, I can think of a few more embarrassing things just by quickly recalling my adolescence, but that’s not the point. The point is, you need to buy some new leggings, and what better time to do so than with spring right around the corner? This season’s all about pastel colors, cute color-blocking, and interesting cutouts. We rounded up the cutest workout leggings that you just need to add to your leggings drawer.
1. Outdoor Voices Tri-Tone Legging
Outdoor Voices leggings are kinda becoming the new Stan Smiths, but the seasonal yellow shades are low-key amazing. Get the matching top to look like your favorite SoulCycle instructor.
2. Koral Western Legging
LOVE the coral/peach color on these—it’s like, the most on-trend shade for workout leggings rn—and I love how they’re sleek without being overly shiny in a tacky way. The lining is super trendy, too. Honestly these are my favorites. Should I stop now?
3. Adidas By Stella McCartney, Yoga Seamless Tight Spacedye
These are sick. A little colorful, but not in an offensive way. Pair it with a plain white or navy tank so you don’t assault anyone’s eyeballs with an overly busy outfit.
4. Gymshark Women Ombre Seamless Leggings
Again with the pink. Very in this season. Also, ombre is totally back, but like, just for workout leggings right now—still not for your hair. It was a bad call in 2013, and it’s a bad call today.
Varley Justin Tight
The vintage rose color on these workout leggings is so trendy, and the little detailed cutouts are amazing. May need the matching sports bra too.

There are plenty of things that OG Betch Blair Waldorf would love to complain about in the year 2017. For example, she’d never use Snapchat filters and would probably yell at Dorota for playing around with them. Another thing she’d totally hate is the athleisure trend. Queen B (the other Queen B…) would never be caught dead in a sports bra. However, she’d probably just have to learn to deal with it because athleisure is literally the only way it’s socially acceptable to wear headbands anymore. Unless you’re like, a super bohemian chick, headbands just don’t hold up your wardrobe like they did in 2008. Here are a few workout headbands to keep your hair out of your face during spin class, or just while you’re elbow deep in a Chipotle burrito, wearing clothes designed
for exercise for their stretching capabilities.
1. Nike Women’s Logo Twist Headband
Can you already see yourself wearing this with a messy bun to get an Iced Green Tea Latte at Starbucks next time you’re too hungover to know your own name? I can. You look good. (All things considered.)
2. Lululemon Fly Away Tamer Headband II
You probably already have 100 of these anyway, but Lulu is the real MVP and releases new colors and prints all of the time. This new black-and-white daisy print is so cute. You should probably get two because your roommate will definitely take one.
3. American Eagle AEO Retro Sweatband
This probably does like, literally nothing for you while you’re exercising, but you never do that anyway, so what’s the point? I kind of hate this, but I feel like I vaguely remember Bella Hadid, Hailey Baldwin, or some other random famous chick who can convince me to wear ugly shit rocking one. If you’re the kind of girl who actually looks good in Brandy Melville’s one size fits all shit, you can probably pull something weird like this off.
4. Athleta Colorblock Vital Headband
Athleta made this headband out of a super lightweight fabric that holds down flyaway hairs without like, literally flying away itself. This is awesome, because lightweight headbands help prevent the headband/ponytail headaches that totally ruin lives. Now you only need to pop Advil for your hangover.
5. Adidas Stronger Headband
This headband is kind of like the one friend you have who never blacks out, because it might just be the most functional one on this list. It’s made out of fabric with wicking capabilities to help deal with sweat. If you’re the kind of betch who doesn’t want to let a workout get in the way of your blowout lasting a few days, this should def help do the trick.
With the exception of a few pairs of heinous mom jeans and the fact that people are contouring their butts with glitter, 2017 has been a pretty sick year for trends so far. I mean, fashion has basically evolved to a point where we no longer really have to wear anything that’s uncomfortable. Bras? Haven’t touched one in years. Jeans? Yeah, no. Sign me up for leggings. Heels? LOL, nope, we do sneakers now.
Wearing sneakers is a lot like being drunk. If you’re betchy enough, you can pull off either one of those things whenever you want. Not to get too inspirational on you, but if you’re confident enough to rock sneakers with a silk slip dress, you can rock sneakers with a slip dress. It’s just like pregaming a trip to Whole Foods. Most people would look like a bum, but if you look good, you can probs pull it off. Anyway, here are the sneakers you should be wearing this year.
1. Vans Old Skool
If you follow just like, one fashion blogger or any of the Kardashians, you’ve seen these shoes with every kind of outfit imaginable. From sundresses to sweatpants with fishnets (I’m not sure how this became a thing, but like, whatever I guess I’m into it), Vans Old Skools are to 2017 as UGGs were to 2007. You can literally just wear them with anything.
2. Reebok Classic Leather
Gigi Hadid keeps promoting these with Instagram #ads, so you know every 14-year-old mall rat with more followers and prettier hair than you already has them. It’s just like how she convinced everyone to wear Adidas Superstars last summer, even though that shell toe makes everyone’s feet look effing massive.
3. Adidas Gazelle Lace-Up Sneakers
Speaking of Adidas Superstars, it’s prob time to get rid of those. They’ve made too many appearances on your Instagram feed as it is. Like the girl in your sorority who got a super subtle nose job one summer, there’s something just a little bit prettier about the Gazelle shoes.
4. Vans Checkerboard Slip On
Vans are like, really having a moment, so they’re getting two spots on this list. This style pretty much serves the same purpose as the Old Skool, but because betches hate decision making and love shopping, you might as well get both.
5. Literally Any Platform Sneakers
From Fenty Creepers to Gucci’s $1,000 platform sneakers, this is the best way to channel your inner Spice Girl. The Kendall + Kylie Reese Platform Sneaker definitely screams “Hi-ci-ya hold tight,” but like, not in a weird way.
