Normani's Engagement Ring Is Next-Level Insane

It’s officially springtime, and that means love is in the air… oh, also it’s NFL Draft season. For Normani and DK Metcalf, both are reasons to celebrate. The couple is engaged, which they announced during DK’s press conference for his new contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers on March 13. It’s really giving “homecoming king and queen get crowned at the big game and ride off into the sunset together” vibes, and it couldn’t be more adorable.

“Shoutout to my beautiful fiancée for being here with me,” DK said during the press conference, in a video posted to the official Steelers Instagram. He also told the crowd of reporters that he proposed in a super sweet way, surrounded by family.

“My family and her family was in Houston,” he explained. “It was my sister’s spring break and [I] just thought about getting the whole family together for a big kumbaya and joining our families with a ring.”

We don’t have a close-up shot of Normani’s ring yet, but DK was so excited for her to show it off at the Steelers press conference. He told the Fifth Harmony singer to “hold up that rock, baby” to the room of reporters. So can someone help us out with a photo? In the meantime, here are the details we know about Normani’s engagement ring, including carats, cut, and cost.

Normani’s engagement ring is a classic oval diamond with a solitaire setting. Olivia Landau, the founder and CEO of The Clear Cut, told Brides magazine, “This is a classic and timeless style ring. Depending on the quality and assuming it is a natural diamond, something similar could range between $40,000 to $100,000 [or more].” That price tag is probably no worry for DK, whose new contract with the Steelers is worth a reported $150 million.

No matter what kind of ring Normani has, she seems genuinely happy in her relationship with DK. When she was promoting her solo album Dopamine, she spoke to Rolling Stone about her relationship and said, “I am very happy. Definitely an answered prayer. I’ve experienced a lot with relationships. I’m a real lover girl. I wear my heart on my sleeve, and finding space where that’s reciprocated feels good. I like to see myself happy. I really do. He definitely inspired a few [songs].”

It’s nice to know this lover girl found her lover boy, and a big rock along with him.
