In a summer full of absurd engagements by mismatched couples who definitely should not be vowing to spend the rest of their lives together, it’s refreshing to see that one mismatched couple has seen the light has called it quits. That’s right, Kourtney and Younes have finally broken up. Every celebrity couple is either getting engaged or breaking up in 2018, so I knew Kourtney and Younes’ relationship would go one of two ways.

According to TMZ, Kourt and her boy toy have called it quits. TMZ says Kourtney was the one who initiated the breakup. Honestly, are we really surprised? Younes has been acting like a child and taking shots at his MILF girlfriend’s sexy Instagram appearance, and maybe she just got tired of being slut-shamed by her own boyfriend. Yet Younes has the audacity to canoodle in Mexico with some bikini-clad no-name chick before the breakup was officially confirmed. If there’s one thing I’ve learned this year, it’s that men are trash, and this will serve as one more entry into my ever-growing burn book.
Neither party has officially responded to the reports yet, but Kourtney and Younes unfollowed each other on Instagram, which is the final nail in the coffin and confirmation enough. At least the other Kar-Jenners don’t have to worry about unfollowing, because they never followed him to begin with. Probably because they knew this relationship was a joke the entire time, just like the rest of us?
At least the Kardashians all still follow Scott, which to me means they’re holding out for a reconciliation of our favorite functionally dysfunctional couple. What’s the ETA that Scott announces his breakup with Sofia? He just announced that he got an actual JOB selling $160 sweatshirts that say “talentless” last week, so weirder things have happened. If the only good thing 2018 brings us is Kourtney and Scott getting back together, I will be satisfied.
UPDATED 8/7: Younes Bendjima responded to reports that he has moved on/is dating the girl he was photographed with in Mexico. In a series of Instagram stories, he posted a screenshot of a Daily Mail article whose headline reads, “EXCLUSIVE: Kourtney Kardashian and Younes Bendjima split! Toyboy rebounds with bikini-clad model who dated Tyga…” Over that, Younes wrote, “They really want me to be the bad guy… f*ck your Hollywood bullsh*t (cant [sic] have fun with your friends no more)” followed by “dailymail Where are my 12 other friendssss? Nice catch tho”.
So, first we learn that Younes does not know how tagging works. And while Younes does not appear to directly address the breakup, he does seem to refute the rumors that he is already dating someone else. And he did post a follow-up Instagram story of his 12 other friends on vacation with him, writing, “OH FOUND THEM”. So does this mean Younes and Kourtney are still together? I don’t know, and I’ve seen enough “When he says she’s just a friend” memes to be at least a little suspicious.
