Jodie Comer Is Super Down-To-Earth, Despite Her Big Net Worth

Jodie Comer has come quite a long way, and I’m not just talking about her journey from niche TV actor to movie star. Although, her rise from Villanelle in Killing Eve to bona fide movie star in 28 Years Later is notable, I’m talking about the fact that she just recently became a homeowner. Congrats, Jodie! We’ve spent the last decade-plus hearing about how millennials will never be able to afford houses, and yet here’s the 32-year-old proving the headlines wrong.

Jodie has been really open in the past about having grown up in a working-class family in Liverpool, England, and how that led her to face “class discrimination” as she pursued her career. “For me personally, self-belief counts for a lot, and perseverance,” Jodie told The Mirror in 2021. “Especially coming from a working-class background, there is the notion that you are going to have to work much harder to be successful.”

All that extra work has paid off for Jodie. Even as she gained fame (and an Emmy and a Tony), Jodie lived in her parents’ home in Liverpool until 2023. That’s when she finally bought a house in Hampstead in North London. So how far has Jodie come? Here’s what we know about Jodie Comer’s net worth.

What is Jodie Comer’s net worth?

Before Jodie made it big on screen, she worked behind the checkout counter at the British grocery store Tesco. So yeah, she has some humble beginnings. But that didn’t stop her from earning a bunch of roles in many British TV series throughout the 2010s. Then, Killing Eve came out in 2018, and the rest is history. Now she’s starred in movies like Star Wars: The Rise of SkywalkerThe Bikeriders, and 28 Years Later.

Jodie won an Emmy for playing Villanelle in Killing Eve in 2019, and after that she became the face of Loewe’s Spring/Summer 2020 campaign. To go from a supermarket cashier to the face of one of the biggest luxury brands in the world? Icon status. On top of that, Jodie was also named the first global brand ambassador for the skincare brand Noble Panacea. Double icon status.

So what has all this work earned Jodie? Based on some online reports, it looks like she’s worth a cool $6 million. Not too shabby. And a lot of Jodie’s success can be attributed to her confidence in herself. “I’ve had to find my voice,” she said to The Guardian. “Have a sense of my own worth. Know what I have to offer. ’Cos there’ll always be someone to question that.”
