Louisiana boat captain Jeremy Dufrene officially has a better chance of meeting Taylor Swift than I do, ’cause he’s apparently close with her bestie, Lana Del Rey. Yup, no 2024 summertime sadness for this eccentric queen — she’s been busy living it up with Jeremy, the alligator tour guide who’s either her BFF or her BF. Who the hell is this Jeremy guy, you ask? Well, if you’ve ever felt the urge to tour swamps and marshes in Louisiana, he’s your man. He works at Arthur’s Airboat Tours in Louisiana, and according to their site, “Jeremy’s a great airboat captain and loves interacting with wildlife & customers.” And he doesn’t just show alligators! There are also herons and egrets involved.

Lana responded to the rumors on September 1 when the Instagram account, @thejustnlife, posted the headline, “Further Details About Lana Del Rey’s Latest Boyfriend, Jeremy, Have Been Revealed.” She left a straightforward response in the comments section: “No.”
That being said, Lana and the boat captain have known each other at least since 2019, because she shared Facebook pics with Jeremy then (millennial core icon) after taking one of his tours. She wrote in her caption, “Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours.”
More recently, fans have spotted Lana and Jeremy on what appeared to be dates. Last week, a Reddit user posted a photo of Lana and the alligator tour guide grabbing lunch at Harrods in London. I’m trying to imagine the culture shock this man probably experienced at Harrods. Another fan shared a TikTok video of Lana and Jeremy walking past them and holding hands at the Reading Festival, a music festival in England. They do look like a couple in this clip.
Not to mention, Lana called Jeremy “my guy” on Instagram back in May. She shared a photo of herself and her siblings and wrote in her caption, “Family w my guy @jeremy.dufrene.” Why the tag if he’s not even in the photo? It’s a mystery.
Honestly, it makes perfect sense that Lana would fall for an alligator tour guide. Like, this would track even more than the cop. But maybe they’re just besties for now.
