One Of Becca's Frontrunners Liked Some V Questionable Memes

First of all, this article requires knowledge of last night’s premiere, so if you don’t want that, don’t read any more. Okay, now that we’ve gotten that spoiler alert out of the way, I regret to inform you that Becca’s first impression rose winner, Garrett Yrigoyen (which sounds like less of a last name and more of a taxonomy of evil troll creature), has been outed as a secret Insta bigot. You may remember Garrett from last night’s episode, where he did a passable Chris Farley impression and Becca declared she was “smitten” with him. Well, as it turns out, prior to being on the show Garrett spent much of his time liking transphobic, anti-immigrant, conspiracy theorist memes, some of which claimed that Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg was a “crisis actor”.  Considering Becca went to the Women’s March and openly supported Hillary in 2016, it could be a problem that this is what he thinks about liberal feminist women:

So how did this tea get spilled? They were all screen shotted and captured by a now deleted Instagram account called @imwatchingyuuo (subtle), that was then tweeted out by former Bachelor contestant Ashley Spivey, who is doing the Lord’s work. Considering the whole racist tweets debacle with Lee on Rachel’s season, you’d think the Bachelor producers would be on this kind of shit by now. But I guess not. Here are a few more tweets Garrett double tapped, some of which he liked via an account he runs for a clothing company called “Merica Supply Co”, because of course:

Cute. Very cute. While obviously two people do not need to agree politically to date each other (Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton appear to be doing fine), these posts are less “conservative” and more “bigoted conspiracy theorist” which, tbh, doesn’t seem like Becca’s vibe. And considering the last three Bachelorettes have chosen the guy who got their first impression rose, and Becca was not allowed to see any of this during filming, this whole thing is kind of a BFD. Like, what if Becca decides Garrett is the love of her life, only to find out that he low-key cyberbullies school shooting victims on Instagram? Where does that rank on the romantic embarrassment scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being “getting dumped on television for the human embodiment of the color beige”?

Garrett has since made his account private, then deleted his account, the re-joined Instagram under a new account, according to Reality Steve. The @imwatchingyuuo account appears to have been deleted. As a wise man once said, this is shaping up to be the most dramatic season ever.
