There’s a new potential influencer relationship that has me spiraling into a deep depression this week. Yes, I’m talking about the Connor Wood (aka @fibula) and Sally Carden dating rumors, and yes, I’m hopelessly in love with Connor. Personally, I was in denial of these rumors for a long time. But with new (and frankly damning) evidence from fellow influencer Hallie Batchelder, I’m pretty convinced there’s something going on between these two.

Like most of Connor’s fandom, I always hoped that if he didn’t end up with me, he’d end up with his BFF and Brooke & Connor Make a Podcast cohost, Brooke Averick. Their chemistry is just off the fucking charts. “We do just have this natural rapport, this banter that you can’t recreate,” he told Us Weekly in 2024. “It’s so crazy. Soul Connection.” But alas, it seems to be just a platonic soul connection after all.

Well, it may officially be time to give up on shipping Connor with Brooke… or ourselves. I think his influencer pal, Hallie Batchelder, just soft-launched his relationship with Sally in a new post.

In an October 4 TikTok, Hallie shared a clip of Sally resting her head on Connor’s chest as he kisses the top of her head. (An extremely tough watch.) “#iwishhewasmine,” Hallie joked in the comments. One commenter summed it up perfectly, writing: “worst day of my fucking life.” Another devastated fan joked, “Damn AI got me again! luckily I know this is AI and not at all factual!”

That same day, Sally seemed to respond to the backlash with a TikTok of her blowing a kiss and waving to audio from Mariah Carey’s “Obsessed.” In the comments, Brianna Chickenfry chimed in, “Is this Connor Wood’s new gf?” Unclear if she’s playing along or wants legit confirmation like the rest of us.

To make things even messier, another influencer, Cassidy Brown, also posted a TikTok that same day featuring her and Connor cuddling. Were they trolling us? Was it damage control? IDK what’s happening anymore…

As of now, neither Connor nor Sally has officially, officially confirmed a relationship. But I’ll be following this story closely, so stay tuned.
