Fashion's Biggest Night Or The Big Game? All The Pro Athletes At The Met Gala This Year

Anyone who’s anyone snags an invite to the Met Gala, so of course, fashion’s biggest night is full of the biggest names in sports. And the 2025 Ball is one of the biggest of all. The athletes got glam for fashion’s biggest night, celebrating the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”

One of the greatest of all GOATS, LeBron James, is an honorary chair of the 2025 Met Gala (but he had to miss the big night). The morning of the Met Gala (the first Monday in May, for those of you just tuning in), LeBron wrote on X: “Unfortunately because of my knee injury I sustained at the end of the season I won’t be able to attend the Met Gala in NY tonight as so many people have been asking and congratulating me on! Hate to miss a historical event!”

Even though we missed out on seeing Lebron’s take on the theme, so many other pro athletes did make it to the Met. F1 racer Lewis Hamilton was a co-chair of the night, while Simone Biles and her hubby Jonathan Owens walked the carpet together. Here’s a breakdown of all the pro athletes at the 2025 Met Gala, along with their high-fashion looks.
