For this week’s daily dose of nostalgia we’re going to reminisce on the weird slang words and phrases we used to use. Nobody is sure where any of these originated because Urban Dictionary didn’t exist back then, but that’s not what’s important. Wherever these sayings came from, they need to make a comeback.
Heathers brought us many amazing things. One of them being the phrase, “gag me with a spoon.” Sure the movie didn’t invent the phrase but it taught me that you could say something as ridiculous as “gag me with a spoon” and still look like a betch doing it.
Be honest, can you think of anything that would bring you greater joy than being like, “Yeah we’ll totally catch up sometime over coffee!” “Really?!” “Psych!!!” I can’t, except for maybe…
Same idea. Also, the “not” placed at the end of a sentence is perfect for the betch who’s so fluent in sarcasm that often times other people can’t tell that she’s being sarcastic.
I mean now we have fucking duh but I can’t really just say “duh” out loud to people without them giving me a weird look and I can't have that. I am the one who looks!
Judge me all you want, but word is the easiest and most concise way to agree with someone.
Ho and slut don’t really pack the same punch they used to since everybody uses them all the time now. The same is soon to happen for thot. But for real, how taken aback do you think someone would be if you called them a strumpet? Answer: really taken aback. So let’s bring those Shakespearian insults back (This might have been a 90's throwback article but I never specified which century so I'm standing by my decision).
