Taylor Swift is Being Sued for Stealing “Shake it Off”

Taylor “Welcome to the stage…” Swift is being sued for plaigirizing “Shake It Off.” That means that, for some reason, two people want to claim credit for a song where the lyrics are basically a drunk 16 year old girl giving her bestie a pep talk.

This guy, Jessie Braham, says that his song, “Haters Gone Hate” – strike one, like WTF is that title? – has the lyrics “Haters gone hate, playas gone play, watch out for them fakers, they’ll fake you everyday.” That shit is causing the decline of Western Civilization. Why was this song even written in the first place?  I guess they’re pretty similar, but the whole thing is like when you steal your friend’s joke and pretend you came up with it. Like, it’s a shitty thing to do, but it’s not illegal.

So Jessie wants $42 million and legal credit for writing the song. Like, I want a new liver and free Starbucks for life, but it’s not going to happen.
