So we’re officially three weeks into 2016 and if you haven’t noticed, sticking to a workout routine is like, really hard. But if you want to consume all of the pinot/champagne/tapas, working out is a necessary evil.
Fortunately, you can make your time at the gym/on your living room floor/running around your neighborhood more enjoyable by having a kickass playlist. This betchy playlist features a 20-minute combo songs, so keep that in mind when you’re planning your workout.
Nothing to motivate you more than Taylor Swift crying about her problems. This song works especially well in kickboxing classes bc you can pretend the bag is Tay.
Meghan Trainor might be semi-desperate, but she makes some decent music to workout to.
Because there’s nothing like a repetitious song to boost your workout. This nerdy pop song has a music video that features synchronized tread mill dancing. What more inspiration could you need to get off your ass and workout.
You shouldn’t need a reason to include any One Direction on your gym playlist. This is a personal favorite off of Made In The A.M. (gross, I know).
What better to listen to than a song that describes the goal you are trying to achieve?
Lena Dunham’s sweetheart actually makes music that’s perfect for a workout. Plus, it’s got a motivational message built into it – you know, it’s actually about getting better psychologically but it could also apply to like, getting a better body and stuff. It works, trust me.
If anything else, it’s imperative you include the Queen of Hip Hop in your workout playlist. Not only does this song directly attack Miley Cyrus, it’s a great heart-rate booster no matter what you’re working on.
Because, duh. You are stronger now.
Let’s go people. Make your workout suck less by adding these must-have songs to your playlist. If you totally hate all of these songs, go make your own playlist. Just look for songs over 140 BPM.
I am such a good friend.
