UGH. Sarah Palin is back at it again with the kooky-crazy comments.
The Hill reports Palin mouthed off about every 90’s kid favorite Science Guy at an event in D.C. this week.
“Bill Nye is as much a scientist as I am,” Palin said. “He’s a kids’ show actor, he’s not a scientist.”
Palin was at a Capitol Hill event to debut a film that aims to discredit climate scientists. Bill Nye has been outspoken about the scientific proof of climate change. That’s right, I said it, SCIENTIFIC PROOF that climate change is happening. Just comment about how it isn’t real, I dare you monkeys.
Palin also gave some parenting advice at the event, and we all know how great Sarah Palin is at parenting. She did successfully raise the mother of two illegitimate kids, after all. Anyway, she told parents to talk to their kids about doubting climate change and to “ask those questions and not just believe what Bill Nye the Science Guy is trying to tell them.”
BTW Bill Nye has a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Cornell and then proceeded to work at Boeing where he developed some cool airplane stuff. And, like, yeah, Cornell is a safety school but Sarah Palin has a communications degree from the University of Idaho so I’m pretty sure she’s not “as much a scientist” as the great Bill Nye. Being somewhat familiar with the students and education offered at U of I, I’m pretty sure that all you need to graduate are a pulse and a penchant for fat drunken frat bros who wear a lot of camouflage.
I’m kind of personally offended because, like, I get that Bill Nye is an entertainer, but he did get us out of doing most science work in third through eighth grade. We knew when that strapped-down TV rolled out during science time it was on like Donkey Kong. I feel like millennials owe him a lot.
Fuck off Sarah Palin. Bill Nye will always and forever be a homie and THE science guy.
