Pinterest, i.e. heaven for basics, is ruining weddings and other major life events one pinboard at a time. If you are over the age of 21 you most likely noticed that your insta feed this summer was filled with your friends’ wedding pics and your friends going to those weddings’ pics. This translates to a lot of snaps of cupcake towers, rustic-looking wooden signs, and bridesmaids in multi-way dresses. I think it is safe to say that the whole Pinterest thing has reached max-basicness. So if you or someone you care about is is planning a wedding and you or they deny basicness, then no Pinterest allowed. Do what betches have been doing for centuries, hire a wedding planner.
Yes, weddings are a lot of work and blah blah blah, so pay a professional to set it up, don’t just trust some online hipster. I don’t know when we started trusting Etsy-bums to plan the biggest day of our young lives.
We are all going to be guilty of posting way too many pics from weddings that are either ours or our friends’ from the age of 21 to 31, but lets make a pact that they can’t include any more of those weird giant balloons.
