A Peppermint Mocha Recipe – Now With Booze

Everything is better with alcohol – we’ve said it time and again. One of those things that is TRULY superior once booze is added is peppermint mocha – a festive, warm, and rich drink perfect for sipping around the fire or après ski while talking shit about Becca’s fugly scarf.

We know you’re thinking of the basic bitch Starbucks variety and, yes, that one is pretty delish. However, adding a dash of peppermint Schnapps and a shot or three of Kahlua takes this shit to a whole new level.


  • 3 tbsps. powdered baking cocoa
  • 3 tbsps. warm water
  • 2 tbsps. peppermint Schnapps
  • 2 oz. espresso
  • 2 oz. Kahlua
  • 12 oz. steamed milk

Combine the baking cocoa with the warm water in a smallish bowl until it makes a nommy syrup. Pour that nommy chocolate syrup into a giant mug, then add the schnapps, espresso, and Kahlua. Mix all that together, then slowly add in the steamed milk until the mug is full. Top with whipped cream if you don’t mind the extra calories.

Sidenote: If you don’t know how to make espresso, you can totally make some really really strong coffee and use that. But, like, we encourage you trying to make espresso – you’ll never be a betch if you don’t.
