How To Actually Get Ready Faster

Getting ready definitely chills at the top of the list on most beloved betch activities. After all, what’s better than perfecting an already fucking perfect piece of art? Like, I'm sorry that people are so jealous of us, but we can’t help it that we’re really good looking. We shouldn't have to tone it down for anyone. That being said, sometimes a betch just doesn’t have the allotted 2 hours to do her thing in the morning or before going out. Even though that blows, there are things she can do to speed the process along and still look hot AF and better than everyone.

The first step to getting ready faster is to plan ahead. If you’re always in a rush in the morning, maybe it’s time you start picking out your outfits the night before. Even if you know you don’t have a ton of time to get ready for a night out, start thinking about what you’re going to wear earlier in the day. Good thing technology has made all of our dreams come true and there’s an app for this. It’s called ClosetSpace and lets you catalogue your clothes a la Cher Horowitz’s digital closet. Love that for you.

Now once you start getting ready think about ways you can cut out steps that might be deemed superfluous (obvs, they aren’t really superfluous, but for argument’s sake let’s just pretend). Say you don’t have time to wash and blow dry your hair. No problem. Just pop on some dry shampoo and texturizing spray, then curl your hair with a big barrel iron for super low-key but drop dead gorge waves.

Once you head in the shower look for a shower gel that doubles as a moisturizer so you don’t have to spend time lotioning up your beautiful self afterward.

Now it’s time for makeup. Anything that labels itself as a “2 in 1” might sound kitschy to you most of the time, but in this instance it can really work in your favor. Or just use the products you already have to your advantage. Your fave matte bronzer works as an effortless eyeshadow. And that highlighter that makes your cheekbones look 90’s-super-model worthy? Also works as an eyeshadow. Your creme blush can even double as a lip color (and vice versa).

If you have the luxury of doing any prep the night before, go for it. Take your shower, shave your legs, and even prep your hair the night before. If you are really dying for some extra time in your mornings or just want a more streamlined getting ready regimen, consider having your eyelashes and brows tinted. Also, to save some time in the shower try permanent hair removal or at the very least, always wax your shit.
