Coconut is a taste you either love or hate. When combined with coffee, however, it’s an absolute good. We’re all about expanding our coffee drink selection without trekking to fucking Starbucks—which would also help to expand our waistlines.
Yes, there’s a better way to combine your love of tropical fruit with coffee, and it isn’t even hard. Further, we added alcohol, because fucking of course we did.
- 1 13.66 oz can coconut milk (if you NEED to use the lower fat one, go for it)
- 2/3 cup Ghirardhelli cocoa powder
- ½ cup white sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- Prepared coffee (whatever you like, betch)
- 1 shot Malibu coconut rum
Grab a saucepan and combine everything except the coffee over medium-low heat. Whisk that shit until it comes together and bring it to a SLIGHT simmer until the sugar is totally gone. That should take less than 5 minutes, so don’t get caught up in other shit. Let it cool completely.
Grab a giant mug and throw in 2 tbsps of the cooled mocha coconut syrup. Mix in the coffee and Malibu. Draaaaaank. You can also serve this as an iced coffee and add lots more booze, but you do you.
