It’s been a couple years since the world found out that Bill Cosby is a psycho rapist pervert, but because our country’s legal system is more fucked up than your great aunt at Christmas dinner, no one has actually been able to charge him with anything that would land him in court. Until now.
On Tuesday, a judge decided there was enough evidence to move to trial in a case that happened in 2004. The accuser, Andrea Constand, was the first of more than 50 women to come forward and accuse Cosby of sexually assaulting her.
Cosby is being charged with three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault, which means nothing to us, but the maximum sentence is ten years each. Bill is 78, so if all goes according to plan, his days of slipping roofies to women half his age should be over.
It’s unclear when the trial will start or how long it will take, but this week’s news is definitely encouraging.
