We did it betches: Americans now drink more wine per person than any other country. On average, each American drinks 16 bottles of wine per year, which is the most in the entire world. But that's just the average per person amount, so when you take out the people who don't drink: alcoholics, nice girls, pregnant women, and boring people – then that number probably goes way, way up. Tbh I'd guess that the average American drinks 16 bottles per month, but I might be a bit biased.
France used to have a monopoly on wine drinkers since basically forever, but thanks to our commitment to getting blackout on Wednesdays, we've finally won the wine war (WW III?) It doesn't hurt that the average global average price for a bottle of wine is $4.
